 It must be after lunchtime because the local constable has backed in at one of his favorite afternoon hiding spots.....the old billboard on the outskirts of town to watch the traffic heading in or out on Hwy. #20. Speed traps such as this one were common traveling problems for many people prior to the 1960's. Small communities across the country relied on these traps for funding the city treasury. Several surveys of the times indicated over half of the most severe and dishonest speed traps were located along Highway #66 from Chicago to Los Angeles.
