Log Scaling Platforms were an integral part of all logging operations for logs in transit. The mills needed a way to tell what they were receiving and the platforms served this purpose. They could be found anywhere convenient for mill operations from near the loading site; somewhere in route to the mill or at the truck entrance to the mill.
This kit is based on the remains of the log scaling platform found at the entrance of the old Taylor-Miller Sawmill in Sheridan, Oregon.
This kit is Laser Cut including the door and windows. It also features Peel 'n Stick roofing on the shed/office.
