Flying A Gas Station

                                                                                                                                                                                  Vehicle Not Included

Art Deco Styled Gas Stations came in many sizes and configurations. The prototype for this kit was built in 1940 in Elma, Washington. It replaced an older metal structure that had been involved in a fire earlier the same year. A new material; Super-Harbord Plywood was used on this station and made the Art Deco styled construction possible.

Sidetrack Laser's O Scale kit brings back the look of the Elma Flying A Gas Station for the late 1930's through Transition era Layouts. Some stations of this design lasted well beyond the Transition Era.

We built this kit depicting a West Coast Flying A Gas Station. On the East Coast, Flying A was marketed under the Tydol Flying A trademark. Sidetrack Laser's Graphics package for this kit allows to to model the kit under either the West Coast Flying A or an East Coast Tydol station.
